Feature film describing the battle of workers and industrial leaders in the Finnish steel industry to find an agreement and fight together for a more democratic way of leading industrial affairs by creating a factory council and starting to speak honestly with each other in order to gain and maintain confidence.
This is the only film for which the composer Jean Sibelius gave permission for his music to be used.
