Carl Joachim "C. J." Hambro (5 January 1885 – 15 December 1964) was a Norwegian journalist, author and leading (link is external)politician representing the (link is external)Conservative Party. A ten-term member of the (link is external)Parliament of Norway, Hambro served as (link is external)President of the Parliament for 20 of his 38 years in the legislature. He was actively engaged in international affairs, including work with the (link is external)League of Nations (1939–1940), delegate to the (link is external)UN General Assembly (1945–1956) and member of the (link is external)Norwegian Nobel Committee (1940–1963).
