Paul: No human affair - the open secret of Paul

‘Beside Paul, the doings of Alexander the Great and Napoleon fade into insignificance.'

A brilliant, sophisticated Jewish citizen of the Roman Empire has an unexpected encounter which transforms his life. He proceeds to spread thar revolutionary experience in a few decades throughout the known world. ‘Beside Paul,’ observed a British jurist and statesman, ‘the doings of Alexander the Great and Napoleon fade into insignificance.’

What sort of person was this implacable foe of Christianity who became perhaps its all-time most effective advocate? Was he a traitor to his own people? A male chauvinist? What was the secret of his life and achievements? Can we learn from this master strategist how we too can have a part in re-motivating people and nations?

Taking up these and related issues, No Human Affair is intended both for the reader with some knowledge of Paul, and for anyone concerned with solving the threatening antagonisms in today’s world. Its twenty topical chapters are fully referenced and indexed, with maps.

Rodney Usher-Wilson carried out his ministry as an Anglican priest on three continents.
