Beverly Almond passed away April 10, 2018. Born July 8, 1918, in Great Neck NY, during WW II she worked with American military intelligence at Bletchley Park in England as part of the Enigma project. In 1946 she married a missionary, Harry Almond, and moved with him to the Arab world where their two daughters were born.
In 1952 they began 50 years' work in the US, Middle East, and elsewhere with the interfaith organization, Moral Re-Armament. They moved to North Egremont in 1986 and became deeply involved in the community. Harry, who died in 2007, and Bev are survived by their two daughters, Anne (and Bryan Hamlin) and Elizabeth (and Robert Lancaster) and by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
