Prologue

I have been active in Initiatives of Change for over 50 years. I am a Christian (Catholic) and in my contacts with people of all religions and beliefs, particularly those from the East, I have often been struck by the depth of wisdom implicit, often, in their words, thoughts and actions. I have learned from them to respect, listen and reflect.

Haridas tells us, in simple but direct words, about the four moral standards that lie at the root of what we are meant to be, think and do. He does this in such a way as to entice us to reflect and - hopefully - act upon the ancient truths that can be found at the roots of most human beliefs.

I invite the reader to embark and sail through this booklet, stop when you feel you must, but let these waves of truth beat gently (or not) over you and then... go on a new way!
