A peacemaker from North-East India
Niketu was the Director of Asia Plateau, the MRA/IofC conference and training centre in India. He is from Nagaland, where he lived his final years in his active retirement, with his wife Christine.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Iralu, and his two children; a son and a daughter.
