'Mr. Ole Bjorn Kraft, formerly Minister of Foreign Affairs for Denmark and Chairman of the North Atlantic - Treaty Organisation 1952-53, was one of the statesmen who took part in the Moral Re-Armament World Mission’s historic journey of 35,000 miles through the capitals and chief cities of 26 countries of Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. ln eleven of these countries they were the guests of the Government.
'ln this book he describes the reception given to the Mission by Prime Ministers and heads of State, and the tremendous response both from the masses and the statesmen to the musical play, The Vanishing Island, which accompanied the Mission.
'Among the leaders who personally received the world Mission and with whom the author spoke on the journey, were Prime Minister Hatoyama of Japan, President Magsaysay of the Philippines, Prime Minister Diem of Vietnam, President Ba U of Burma, the Prime Ministers of Ceylon and Pakistan, the Shah and Queen of Iran, and leaders of Malaya, India, Africa and Middle East countries.
'Against this background he evaluates the world scene and the' ideological trends at work, and he states his conviction that this journey will 'prove a turning-point in history'.'
