The article tells of the Henderson family's visit to the IofC centre in Caux, Switzerland, in 1947 in their bid to restore family unity: 'In order to re-estabilish family unity following their years of separation during World War II, the Hendersons visited a centre for reconciliation in Caux, Switzerland,' says the out-take in large type.
The story of his Irish Protestant mother's reconciliation with an Irish Catholic senator in Caux and other similar stories 'inspired [Michael] Henderson to write books on forgiveness issues, the first of which, published in 1996, marked the 50th anniversary of the Caux centre, now run by Initiatives of Change International.' The article says that Henderson has published 11 books, 'mostly exploring peace and forgiveness'.
