A struggle transformed into a gift.
"Success is not the same as victory", Aino Gundersen wrote in her notebook while in hospital. "True victory lies rather in your attitude to the different events of life." One morning the doctor had told her that she had only three to four weeks' time to live. This time, however, stretched to fourteen months. Aino Gundersen, née Poussa, came from a home in Tampere in Central Finland. Her calling took her to many lands in the world, right down to Australia. Her husband compiled this book from notes she left. These lines tell in Aino's own words how new resources can open up even in hopeless situations and, whether ill or well, one can find a true purpose for life.
