In 1962 she and her husband Brian moved to Oxford where they befriended generations of students. Juliet was a creative person. She helped to produce the multimedia production about the life of Frank Buchman, Crossroad (1974), and was co-author (with Joanna Sciortino Nowlan) of the play Columba, which premiered at the Edinburgh fringe in 1978.
In recent decades she lived at her family home in Herefordshire where she was much involved in local life.
